Imm Fusion Sukhumvit, a stylish, mid-range hotel located just a short walk from On Nut BTS skytrain station, boasts an interesting, exotic mix of decorative styles, with room prices that won’t hurt your pocketbook.

Service-minded approach
On arrival at the hotel, you’ll notice that the lobby area has a refreshing “open” quality. The décor in and around the ground floor area combines Indian and Moroccan styles, including traditional cushions, chairs, tables, and ornaments. You’ll even see some interesting uses of stained glass, colorful tiles, and ornamental ironwork throughout the property.

The features available to guests are sure to appeal to leisure and business travelers looking for a comfortable yet less mundane accommodation option located close to the heart of the city.

Room rates start from as little as 899 baht++ (nett: 1,059 baht) per night for a standard room without breakfast. A superior room without breakfast costs 1,099 baht ++ (1,294 baht) per night, while a deluxe room costs 1,799 baht ++ (2,118 baht) per night.

If, as health experts recommend, you prefer to make sure you have a bite to eat before heading off for a meeting, or some other more leisurely pursuit, then there’s a slightly different set of rates, which include a “grab and go” breakfast.

A standard room with breakfast costs 1,099 baht ++ (1,294 baht), a Superior room is priced at 1,299 baht ++ (1,529 baht) per night, while a Deluxe room with breakfast costs 1,999 baht ++ (2,353 baht) per night.

The grab and go breakfast is essentially a continental breakfast, featuring various kinds of bread and pastries, a selection of fruits, along with tea, coffee, or fruit juice.

Service with a smile
During my first visit to Imm Fusion Sukhumvit, I couldn’t help notice that members of staff at the centrally-located reception area are very quick to attend to guests on arrival, employing a gentle, courteous approach. It really seems as though nothing is too much trouble.

The ground floor has an almost gazebo-like ‘chill’ area, a restaurant, and even a swimming pool, flanked by various forms of comfortable chairs and loungers. And if you’re really in need of some proper R&R, why not enjoy a full body massage (300 baht [US$9.40] per hour), or a foot massage (250 baht).

imm_03.jpgGet connected
Although Imm Fusion Sukhumvit is located at the far (eastern) end of the BTS skytrain elevated train system, this can actually be a good thing, depending on your personal preferences.

Hopping onboard a BTS train will get you to Phrom Phong, right next to the Emporium shopping center and Benjasiri Park in about 10 minutes. Stay on the train for one more stop and you’ll arrive at Asoke, where you can connect to the MRT subway system (Sukhumvit station), if required.

If you need good access to the airport, fear not. The nearby Ram Indra expressway on Sukhumvit Soi 50 allows guests to reach Suvarnabhumi International Airport by taxi in about 30 minutes.

So while Imm Fusion Sukhumvit is not located in the very heart of the city, it does offer extremely good transport connections, while affording guests a somewhat more peaceful and relaxing environment during their stay.
