Maneeya Dhammataree

fourhand_04.jpgThe Imperial Spa’s signature four-hand massage rejuvenates your whole body, leaving you feeling deeply invigorated, refreshed, and revitalized.

Two fully-trained spa therapists begin the massage experience by ensuring you’re in a comfortable position before applying essential oils to your legs, then starting the massage using all four hands and fingers in a rhythmic technique. While it may seem a little strange initially to be massaged by two sets of hands, be patient, as you’ll quickly begin to enjoy this new sensation.

The spa therapists next focus on the upper parts of the body before synchronizing a head and foot massage. While an interesting concept, it was also an extremely pleasant experience.

All kinds of options
Imperial Queen’s Park Hotel’s flagship Bangkok spa offers a large and varied range of body, facial, and foot treatments, designed using a combinations of treatments from four spa treatment concepts: Thai (traditional Thai massage and herbs); Harmony (to balance body, mind, and soul); Purity (to smooth away stress and detoxify); and Energy (to stimulate and revitalize inner strength).

If you’re looking to improve your bust, a traditional Thai post-natal program has been cleverly adapted and is suitable for all women seeking a firmer body.

To handle dull and dry skin, Imperial Spa’s body exfoliation treatments offer a natural formulation to remove dry surface cells. The Oriental Mystique treatment (2,000 baht) has a local, traditional feel by using crushed black sticky rice in almond oil to exfoliate and moisturize the skin. Golden Glow (2,000 baht) uses lemongrass to cleanse the skin and improve circulation.

Among the five facial treatments available at Imperial Spa is the Harmony Extreme (3,500 baht), which is suitable for the most sensitive skin types. Using a natural blend of herbal extracts, this treatment decongests, smoothes, and refreshes the epidermis, helping to strengthen it against external threats.

There are now many reasons to encourage men to consider a facial, since as well as improving the skin’s appearance, it can also help reduce stress. This is particularly true of Imperial Spa’s Elixir of Strength (2,500 baht) facial treatment, which includes a complimentary neck and hand massage.

Lifestyle
Other services available are related to lifestyle. For example, the center provides a Deep Tissue Back and Shoulder Sports Massage (2,000 baht), which will be of particular interest to sporty types, since it can help reduce tension and improve circulation. The Supreme Body Detox (2,800 baht) focuses on lymphatic drainage, and uses a gentle massage technique around the nymph nodes.
