Located within a Bangchak gas station compound on Thienruammit Road, just a short stroll from Thailand Cultural Center, Thai Sabai restaurant offers an original menu for health-conscious diners.

It’s not a specifically vegetarian or macrobiotic menu, although it does steer clear of meat in the spirit of promoting a more sustainable food chain.
Dried shrimp, egg, fish, or tofu are the main protein sources used at Thai Sabai, while the dishes feature flavorful local spices, fish sauce, soy sauce, and other popular condiments to retain a truly Thai taste.
The vegetables are organically-grown and are delivered fresh from an exclusive supplier - Khaokho Talaypu Farm in Petchabun province, 547 kilometers north of Bangkok.
Thai Sabai recommends its Khao Pad Nam Prik Kapi ('Fried Rice with Shrimp and Chili Paste'), which comes with a selection of fresh vegetables. The restaurant's Khai Jiaw ('Omelet') with soybeans is another dish you really ought to try. In general, the food is plain and simple, but well presented, healthy and nutritious.
Thai Sabao offers plenty of other popular Thai dishes including yam (spicy salads) and various curries. To compliment your meal, you can choose from a selection of several kinds of organic herbal drinks.
The food arrived in a timely manner, although the restaurant was not particularly busy during my visit. The prices of main dishes range from 60 to 85 baht (US$1.75-2.50).

As well as serving food and drinks, Thai Sabai actually boasts four components within the same building. Right next to the restaurant on the ground floor is a coffee corner, serving up drinks brewed up with organically-grown beans, along with a store selling herbal products and other health-related products, including organic vegetables, herbal drinks and snacks, massage oils, as well as personal hygiene products, such as herbal soaps and shampoo.
The first floor features a massage lounge, where customers can choose from a variety of Thai massage treatments to ease discomfort, treat muscle aches and pains, or simply help them to relax.
All in all, if you're looking to maintain a healthful yet tasty diet, Thai Sabai will certainly meet your needs.
