Cousins Panisra Tiengtham (Pim) and Boonyapa Tangkarawakul (Jub-Jang) founded online food delivery service Taste2Go two years ago. Pim and Jub-Jang share similar tastes and have backgrounds in the food service sector - Pim is a graduate of the UK’s Cordon Bleu cooking school, while Jub-Jang heads Sweet Secret Bakery at Piyarom Sports Club.

Solid growth
“We started by selling dinner boxes six days a week [Monday through Saturday], charging customers for 5, 10, 15, or 20 orders within a two-month period,” Pim said.
Eventually, such was the popularity of the service among its long-term customers, the company expanded its services to offer lunch and party boxes, too, Pim said.
The company now offers a huge range of set menus, including some options that are of particular interest to Thai people. For example, there are special lunch boxes costing 350 baht (US$10) tailored toward offering food to Buddhist monks. Another box, priced at 75-120 baht each, is ideally suited for funeral hosts to offer mourners.
Dining diversity
Prices depend on the menu items chosen, from a range of delicious Asian (Chinese, Korean, and Japanese), European, or Thai dishes.
One of the most practical and cost effective options is select the number of times you estimate you will use the service over a two-month period. You can then decide to order 5, 10, 15, or 20 times within that timeframe.
To get a taste of the service, you might wish to make a single order. However, bear in mind that a one-off order is comparatively more expensive than a two-month package. Typically, a single order meal might cost about 650 baht, whereas this figure is reduced markedly when choosing a multiple-package deal.
Japanese sets include popular items such as Tepanyaki (Japanese-style steak), Sukiyaki, or Shabu Shabu, while a typical European set might include vegetable soup, fettuccini with mushrooms and a pork steak.
Pim, a graduate of the UK’s Cordon Bleu cooking school, says members receive a six-day menu one week in advance. The menu is changed on a monthly basis.

Hygienic, healthy, clean and green
“I tend to travel quite often within many parts of the country, so I keep an eye out for quality ingredients and seasonal organic vegetables from the locals so we can create interesting seasonal dishes,” Pim said.
Pim regularly sets off as early as 6 am to ensure Taste2Go can get the very best fresh produce.
Jub-Jang says that Taste2Go is concerned by issues related to packaging.
“Foods packaged in plastic bags are so unhealthy,” she pointed out. Taste2Go guarantees that all its homemade dishes are free from any contamination. They come packed in reusable microwavable containers.
Jub-Jang says that while hygiene and freshness are among Taste2Go’s main concerns, the original flavors are retained since the company does not use monosodium glutamate in any of its dishes.
“We want people to enjoy the genuine tastes and flavors of dishes like Kaeng Som [Hot and Sour Soup with Curry Paste]. The bottom line is that healthy food can also be delicious.”

Gourmet delights delivered to your door
Returning home to a delicious dinner ought to be a reasonable enough reward following a hard day’s work. But most professionals aren’t particularly attracted to the idea of cooking for themselves following a long commute, while only a handful could consider employing a cook.
Taste2Go delivers to most areas of the city for free, Pim said. The company also employs eight members of staff to operate its busy kitchens.
News of Taste2Go’s service, along with its healthful and tasty dishes, has quickly spread, and the company currently dispatches more than 50 orders a day throughout Bangkok.

Taste2Go multiple meal deal
If Taste2Go’s convenient service seems to suit your hectic lifestyle, you might want to consider a multiple-meal special (suitable for two adults) - this allows you to order three dishes* 5, 10, 15, or 20 times within a two-month period.
Prices
Five meals – 2,500 baht
Ten meals – 4,500 baht
Fifteen meals – 6,000 baht
Twenty meals – 7,000 baht

“It’s such a great feeling at the moment since our customers have become really loyal, suggesting all our efforts are on the right track,” Jub-Jang said.
Jub-Jang suggests that Taste2Go is also an excellent choice for the busy, modern family, which wants to eat together as a unit at home rather than being stuck in traffic on the way to a restaurant. There is a special kids’ menu available with dishes starting from 350 baht.
But, most importantly, Taste2Go delivers genuinely tasty yet healthful dishes at a reasonable rate.
